in 2009 as a mother of a young child in need of therapy. I was a school counselor and had some understanding of what was going on with my child, but I still could not find anyone appropriate for him to work with. Was there no one on the South Shore who could help us? It took several years and multiple therapists until I found the perfect fit. But I now had the desire, the drive and the means to become part of the (much too small) pool of child and adolescent therapists.
Fast forward to today, I am passionate as ever to help young people, and their parents, understand what is going on their ever-changing and developing minds and bodies. I utilize an eclectic and personalized therapeutic approach which includes: EMDR (Eye Movement Desenitization and Reprocessing), play therapy, psychoeducation, DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and meditation.

Oliver joined Bayside Counseling in February of 2020. The COVID shutdown affected him, just like it affected most of us. Once we were able to meet again in masks, he became anxious. To this day, he is working on his coping skills and doing very well! Once one on one in the office, he is a peaceful energy, and if needed a warm friendly head/back to pet. If you see him in the office, he is more likely to come to you if you are sitting and he can come on his own. He is an example to all of us that having anxiety is okay and it can get better. When Ollie is not at work, he enjoys jumping on his humans, swimming in the bay and annoying his older brother, Gibbs.
