Fees and insurance

 Intake appointments are $150 and are approximately 50-55 minutes long.

Individual Sessions are $115 for 45 minute session or $150 for hour sessions.  Typically sessions start as weekly and depending on need, progress and treatment plans can be reduced to every other week, and sometimes less frequently.

 If you do not show up for your session or cancel less than 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a cancellation fee of the entire private pay session rate prior to your next session. 

Please note, our clinicians are all fee-for service.  This means without our cancelation fee, we would be unpaid for missed appointments and we cannot bill insurance for these missed appointments.  If a client has to cancel with less than 24 hours notice it is very unlikely we can fill this spot.  If we have more than 24 hours notice, it is possible to replace our income.  We all see this as much more than a job, it is our passion and our calling, but we also make our living this way.  Our late cancel fees are not a punishment to our clients, it is more like an insurance policy that we can afford to do the work we love.  Thank you for your understanding.

We are also able to offer Out of Network (OON) services for other insurance companies.  OON clients pay the full session fee at the time of service and we will give you a detailed bill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.    If you are interested in a reduced rate for sessions, contact your insurance company to see what their OON benefits are. 

 Although using insurance will lower out of pocket cost, insurance agencies require an official diagnosis for reimbursement. These diagnosis will be put on your medical record. Often times individuals come to therapy to work through personal life stressors that would not require an official diagnosis. Reporting to insurance agencies also reduces your personal confidentiality. Finally, insurance companies often limit your number of sessions.
